Passion Asasu (b. 1991) is a performing artist, designer, almost a dancer, and a curious human. Born in Chiang Mai and raised in Bangkok, Thailand, she is currently based between Berlin and Weimar, Germany, where she is pursuing a Master's degree in Media Art and Design at Bauhaus University, Weimar.

Her work explores the lived experiences of inhabiting a female body, delving into topics such as social relationships, cultural hierarchies, mental and behavioral states, and capitalism.

With a background in theater (B.A., Silpakorn University) and design, Passion observes living and non-living beings, collects knowledge and experiences, then expresses them through performance and multimedia. In July 2023, she presented her first solo piece, The Brainless Dancer, which has continued to evolve. This performance has been staged in Weimar and Berlin, and in September 2024, it was selected as one of five projects from the Chair of Media Environment: Media Art and Design, Bauhaus University Weimar to be showcased at Ars Electronica in Linz, Austria.

Practically speaking, she employs a variety of mediums—electronics, artificial intelligence, writing, film, and movement—to communicate her ideas and thoughts to her audience. Her enthusiasm for learning drives her to acquire new skills and use them to bring her concepts to life.

Currently, Passion is researching the economics of women, focusing on the monetary value of goods, services, and lives produced and rendered by women. Her research highlights the often-overlooked labor that sustains household economies, which is typically run by women who sacrifice their own health while managing immense stress and remaining largely invisible. This research will culminate in her new project, She’s So Centsible!, scheduled to be performed in November 2024.
